The Astrophysikalisches Institut Potsdam (AIP) is a research institute with two main directions of research activity:

  • Cosmic Magnetic Fields, Solar- and Stellar Activity
  • Extragalactic Astrophysics and Cosmology.

The AIP is a member of the Wissenschaftsgemeinschaft Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz (WGL) (formerly called: Wissenschaftsgemeinschaft Blaue Liste) that comprises about 80 institutes all over Germany. There are close collaborations between the AIP and Potsdam University.

Das Astrophysikalische Institut Potsdam (AIP) ist ein Forschungsinstitut mit zwei Hauptrichtungen:

  • Kosmische Magnetfelder, Sonnen- und Strenaktivität
  • Extragalaktische Astrophysik und Kosmologie.

Das AIP ist Mitglied der Wissenschaftsgemeinschaft Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz (WGL) (früher Wissenschaftsgemeinschaft Blaue Liste genannt), die ungefähr 80 Institute in ganz Deutschland umfasst. Das AIP arbeitet end mit der Universität Potsdam zusammen.
