Various events take place at the AIP on the Babelsberg campus or at its historic site on Potsdam's Telegrafenberg. In addition, virtual formats are accessible from all over the world.
Open Day at Telegrafenberg
On 26 September 2026, 12-5pm, the institutes in the Albert Einstein Science Park on Telegrafenberg will open their doors. Among them are the the AIP's Einstein Tower and the Great Refractor, as well as the Michelson basement. More information: Open Day at the Telegrafenberg on 26th September 2026
Observation evenings in the Great Refractor
The Great Refractor on Telegrafenberg can be experienced in action during winter 2026/2027: Visitors will get to look at the stars through the historical telescope during our observation evenings. Here you can find the dates 2026/27.
Babelsberg Starry Nights
During the winter half-year 2026/27, the new season of the ‘Babelsberg Starry Nights’ series will once again start with lectures live on site at the Babelsberg research campus. Details about the live events are here:

Our popular lecture series also still continues online. Usually on the third Thursday of each month, a new lecture by an AIP scientist is broadcast on the YouTube channel Urknall, Weltall und das Leben or videowissen.
