The Optical Instrumentation Group (OptI) of the Astrophysical Institute Potsdam (AIP) is working on the development of optical focal plane instrumentation for ground-based telescopes that are accessible to the AIP. The group is also responsible for maintenance and operation of local telescopes at Babelsberg Observatory and Telegraphenberg. Additionally the group is involved in the design and construction of new technology infrastructure at the AIP.
