FIRST (artificial) LIGHT for the PMAS Fiber-Spectrograph ! The Fiber-Spectrograph
has been mounted onto the AIP Telescope Simulator and extensive tests have
been undertaken to verify the spectrograph performance and image quality.

The Optical Instrumentation Group moved into the new building for research
and technology at the AIP. This building features amongst the offices,
three optical laboratories, an electronic and a detector lab, a Faraday
cage, a test and integration hall, a telescope simulator and the workshop.
