The Spacecraft

The high pointing accuracy in the focal plane of the T-170 telescope required during time intervals ranging less than 1s to up to 30 hours is achieved by the fine pointing made of the Attitude Control System by tilting the secondary mirror around the neutral point according to the fine error signals derived from a Focal Plane Fine Guidance System.
