The SODART experiment onboard the Spectrum Röntgen-Gamma satellite
is an international high-energy space mission under IKI (Russia) leadership
planned for launch 2003 into a highly excentric orbit of 200.000 km apogee
to measure a wide spectrum of cosmic radiation from UV
to soft gamma-ray
is a high-throughput multi-mirror X-ray twin
of 8m focal length with changeable detectors on slides
for energies between 0.1 and 20 keV. In the left telescope (open side window)
it contains the spectrometer OXS.
- OXS is an
objective crystal spectrometer with very high
resolving power, where the AIP is involved.
