Comparison of the spectrometric effective area
(integrated over the PSF)
of the high resolution spectrometers on the X-ray telescopes
CHANDRA, XMM-NEWTON, and SODART. The curves are labeled with
the grating/detector combination (CHANDRA and XMM) or the
crystal type/detector combination (SODART). To avoid confusion,
the low-energy CHANDRA curve is shown in the low-energy region
only (< 2 keV); the high-energy CHANDRA curve is slightly
smoothed. The dotted parts of the SODART curves indicate
energy regions, where the Bragg spectrometer efficiency
drops down due to a very large or very small Bragg angle.
