From Tegel Airport to the AIP by public transport

Take the X9 bus from directly outside the Airport to Zoo (leaves every ten minutes). Buy a three-zone-ticket (ABC) for about 2.80 EUR at either the machine or from the bus driver; it is valid for 2 hours and all the way to the AIP. The bus stops directly outside the station "Zoologischer Garten". In the station, take the RE1 train to Potsdam-Hauptbahnhof (every 30 minutes).

Leave at Potsdam Hauptbahnhof. Leave the station by the exit towards the big time table hanging from the ceiling. Get on the bus 694 heading to Stern-Center (you don't need to buy another ticket, your ticket from Berlin is still valid), and get off at the stop called Sternwarte after about 10 minutes. You are now at one of the entrances of the AIP which is open until 7pm. An information desk is after 60m on the left side. If you arrive later, please arrange with your AIP collaborator until we have installed a bell.

From Schönefeld Airport to the AIP by public transport

A roofed foot path leads from the airport to the train station Schönefeld. Take the train to Potsdam-Hauptbahnhof which usually leaves every hour:54 minutes. These trains require a zone BC ticket. If you decide to travel through Berlin you need to buy an ABC ticket. Then proceed as above.

Berlin hat zwei Flughäfen:

• Flughafen Tegel und
• Flughafen Schönefeld

Ein überdachter Fußweg führt vom Flughafen zum S-Bahnhof Schönefeld. Nehmen Sie den Zug Richtung Potsdam-Hauptbahnhof, der meist 6 Minuten vor jeder vollen Stunde fährt (XX:54). Für diesen Zug reicht ein Fahrschein der Zonen BC. Reisen Sie mit der S-Bahn durch Berlin, brauchen Sie einen ABC-Fahrschein. Dann weiter wie oben.

If you arrive at Potsdam-Hauptbahnhof, you can use a taxi to get to the AIP-Babelsberg (about 8 EUR). You may also use public transport and take bus 694 to Stern-Center. Get off at the 8th stop called Sternwarte. Stop are usually announced in the bus and you need to pressone of the 'stop' buttons. You are now at one of the entrances of the AIP which is open until 7pm. If you arrive later, please arrange with your AIP collaborator for meting you at the gate until we have installed a bell.

Wenn Sie am Potsdamer Hauptbahnhof ankommen, können Sie ein Taxi fü etwa 8 EUR nehmen oder den Bus 694 Richtung Stern-Center. Steigen Sie an der Sternwarte aus. Sie stehen dann direkt vor einem Tor des AIP, das tagsüber bis 19 Uhr geöffnet ist. Für spätere Ankünfte verabreden Sie sich bitte mit Ihrem AIP-Kollegen (eine Sprechanlage am Tor ist erst in Arbeit).

If you come on the motorways A2 or A9, you follow the direction of Berlin-Zentrum. You get on A115 and leave the motorway at the exit Potsdam-Babelsberg. Follow the motorway to Zentrum and take the exit Fr.-List-Straße. After turning to the right, you follow the road more or less straight-on and reach the top of a hill after ~1.5 km. There you stand in front of a gate of the AIP which is open until 7pm. If you arrive later, please arrange with your AIP collaborator for meting you at the gate until we have installed a bell.

Wenn Sie auf den Autobahnen A2 oder A9 anreisen, folgen Sie der Richtung Berlin-Zentrum. Sie befahren die A115 und müssen bei Potsdam-Babelsberg ausfahren. Sie folgen der vierspurigen Straße Richtung Zentrum und biegen bei der Ausfahrt Fr.-List-Straße rechts ab. Dann folgen Sie der Straße mehr oder weniger geradeaus, bis Sie den höchsten Punkt eines Hügels erreichen. Sie stehen dann direkt vor einem Tor des AIP, das tagsüber bis 19 Uhr geöffnet ist.
