Welcome reception

The first gathering for the participants of the workshop will take place in the Schwarzschild building (AIP), from 17:00 to 19:00 on 2nd September 2008. (Note: NO registration fee payment on this day will be possible!)

Einstein tower visit

The workshop trip will take place on Thursday, 4th September, straight after the afternoon session. The departure from AIP is scheduled for 16:15. A bus will transport the participants from AIP to the site of GeoForschungsZentrum (GFZ), where the Einstein tower is located. There, a guided tour to the Einstein tower and the Great refractor will follow. After the visits to both historical places, the bus will take us to Sanssouci castle, where we can have a short visit to the castle's garden (in case of good weather). The place of the workshop dinner is situated at a walking distance from Sanssouci castle.

Workshop dinner

The workshop dinner is scheduled from 19:00 to 23:00. It will take place at Krongut Bornstedt in Potsdam. The departure is scheduled for 23:15. The bus will make the following stops: Potsdam Central station and Babelsberg townhall.
