Wide Field STELLA Imaging Photometer (WIFSIP)

The Wide Field STELLA Imaging Photometer (WIFSIP) is a large-format CCD imager and photometer for STELLA and RoboTel. The useable FOV is 22'x22' at a scale of 0.32"/Pixel. The detector is a single 4096x4096 back-illuminated thinned CCD with 15um Pixels and a peak QE>90% from the University of Arizona ITL.
Available filters are Stromgren uvby, Halpha-narrow and wide, the Sloan-filterset (all for STELLA), and the UBVRI set (for both telescopes).

WIFSIP design

Mechanical design of the WIFSIP units. The two units for STELLA and Robotel are identical, except for the telescope flange to adapt for the different focus positions, and for the available filters (RoboTel will have just UBVRI filters).

Filterwheel

The WIFSIP filterwheels with 24 positions for filters with 90mm diameter. For compatibility reasons, WIFSIP/RoboTel is equipped with the same filterwheel despite having only 6 filters for first light.
