5th POTSDAM THINKSHOP
Meridional flow,
differential rotation, solar and stellar activity

2007 June 24-29
Astrophysikalisches Institut Potsdam
Scope
The aim of
the conference is to bring together scientists working in solar and stellar astronomy. Our current understanding of the
magnetohydrodynamics of the solar and stellar interiors shall
be discussed, from both a theoretical and an observational
point of view. Meridional flow and its connection to the differential rotation are our main topics as well as magnetic
stars, the stability of magnetic fields, and dynamo problems.
Observational issues cover helio- and asteroseismology, indirect imaging, and stellar activity surveys.

Proceedings
Instead of classical proceedings, we intend to
publish refereed papers in a future volume of the Astronomische
Nachrichten / Astronomical Notes.
If you had an oral contribution, please submit your paper through the
usual AN procedure. All questions should go to
