Airport & Taxi & Bus :
If you arrive by plane, you will arrive at the Saint-Exupery airport (LYS).
From there you can take a taxi. It is possible
to take the bus but it will not stop close to any of the hotels. For
For those who really want to take the bus : use the Airport shuttle to go
to the Perrache railway station; take the metro (line A) to the Bellecour
station (second stop); exit the metro and take the bus #10 to the central
place of Saint-Genis-Laval. From there you will have a 15-20mn walk to the
Observatory (not very far, but steep slope...).
If you arrive by train, both the Part-Dieu & Perrache railway stations are
OK. Perrache is closer to the Observatory and will be easier to reach.
Information we need from you :
During, the meeting, we will take our noon lunches at the Observatory (cold meal "plateau"). We will have to order them in advance, so we need you to tell us : - when you will be here (monday & tuesday ?) - if you want a vegetarian meal

There are three hotels within 5 minutes (driving) of the observatory. If you want me to book a room for you, just ask !
