Starlight Stories: A journey through time and space
Experience a fascinating journey through the universe in the Great Refractor in Potsdam on 19th October 2024. Immerse yourself in more than a hundred years of astrophysical observations at one of the most historic scientific sites. Together we will discover the wonders of astronomy and take you to the stars and into the depths of space. As a highlight of the evening, you will have the unique opportunity to observe the night sky through one of the oldest telescopes in the world, if the weather permits. Let yourself be enchanted by the stars and learn more about the infinite vastness of the universe at this unforgettable event.
Each exciting tour takes about one hour and starts at 4pm, 5:30pm, 7pm or 8:30pm. Observations with the historic telescope are only possible in good weather conditions. Please take note that it can be very cold inside the refractor building, depending on the outside temperatures.
