Title: Exoplanets and other astrophysics subjects from Observatoire de Haute-Provence, or how small telescopes are needed to the success of the biggest

Abstract: The Haute-Provence Observatory (OHP) was an important center of research for all Europe during decades.
Its decline in favour of new telescopes in Chile has made possible to conduct more risky scientific subjects, such as exoplanets, with the success we all know. Thirty years after 51Pegb discovery, significant results continue to emerge in this field, thanks to SOPHIE, the successor to ELODIE. SOPHIE will be soon upgraded thanks to a new camera that will enhance its sensibility and extend its wavelength coverage in the near infrared. The exoplanet spectrograph share the 1.93m telescope with MISTRAL, a spectral-imager designed for galactic and transient studies. OHP telescopes are also successful to test new instrumentations, like the projects NIGHT, RISTRETTO and VIPA, compact spectrographs for the observation of exoplanet atmospheres. Engineers and technicians on site are also involved in international instrumentation, like SPIRou spectrograph at CFHT, DESI spectrographs in Arizona, and COLIBRI at UNAM (Mexico). I will present the excellent results obtained by these instruments observing or made at OHP, focussing more on exoplanets, my expertise in research but I will also present how this professional site contribute to other fields of astrophysics: galactic studies, cosmology and the monitoring of galactic transients. I will highlight how site like OHP are needed to contribute to the success of biggest projects as giant telescope and spatial missions.
