Amy Miller

I use large astronomical surveys to study the Large and Small Magellanic Clouds (LMC and SMC). In particular, I study young stars and their formation in the LMC with the near-infrared VISTA Magellanic Clouds (VMC) survey. I also study the distribution of heavy elements in stars belonging to the faint, diffuse Magellanic periphery using the optical Survey of MAgellanic History (SMASH) survey. Finally, I am an Early Career Representative for the ongoing DECam Local Volume Exploration (DELVE) survey and am using early catalogs to search for ultra-faint dwarf galaxies that might be part of the Magellanic system.
