Amy Miller
I am a Cotutelle Ph.D. candidate at the AIP and Macquarie University in Sydney, Australia; my supervisors are Prof. Maria-Rosa Cioni and Prof. Richard de Grijs. I use large astronomical surveys to study the Large and Small Magellanic Clouds. Primarily, I study young stars and star clusters in the Large Magellanic Cloud using the near-infrared VISTA Magellanic Clouds (VMC) survey. I am also an active member of the optical Survey of MAgellanic History (SMASH) and DECam Local Volume Exploration (DELVE) surveys.
I completed my Master’s degree in physics at Montana State University in 2019. During my degree, I studied the distribution of heavy elements in stars belonging to the faint, diffuse Magellanic periphery using the SMASH survey.
