Printer installation on external Windows devices

Requirement: You need a Windows account in the institute.

Please open the windows-explorer and type the following into the address bar: \\velde.astrophysik.aip.de

and press Enter. A login window will appear into which you need to enter your windows login credentials.

Username: astrophysik\USERNAME

Password: WINDOWSPASSWORD

Please set the tick for saving your login credentials and press "Ok".

Now you should be able to see the shared printer "AIP-MFP-color" in your explorer window. Please right click this printer and select "Connect". Afterwards the correct driver is being searched and installed. Now the printer is available on your computer.
