Dr. Alexander Warmuth
I am a staff scientist in the Solar Physics section at AIP. My research focuses on energetic processes in solar eruptive events, in particular on energy release and particle acceleration in solar flares. I am a Co-I on the STIX X-ray telescope and the EPD particle detector, two instruments on board of the Solar Orbiter spacecraft. I also serve on the Science Committee of the Chinese ASO-S mission. I am currently the speaker of the Extraterrestrial Physics Division of the German Physical Society (DPG), chairman of the Arbeitsgemeinschaft Extraterrestrische Forschung (AEF), and member of the board of the Community of European Solar Radio Astronomers (CESRA).
