Dr. David Benisty

I am a Minerva Postdoctoral Fellow at the Leibniz-Institute for Astrophysics Potsdam (AIP). I earned my PhD from Ben-Gurion University (Israel) in 2021. Following my doctoral studies, I worked as a Blavatnik and Rothschild Fellow at the University of Cambridge (UK).

My research delves into an exciting topic in cosmology: the nature of dark energy. This mysterious and poorly understood form of energy is hypothesized to permeate all of space, driving the accelerated expansion of the universe. I am focused on discovering new ways to probe dark energy across different systems, from the vast scales of the cosmos to our nearby universe.
