Dr. Marcel Pawlowski
I am a Leibniz Junior Research Group Leader at the AIP since July 2021 in the project "Cosmic Choreographies". My research mostly revolves around dwarf and satellite galaxies, galaxy dynamics and evolution, and near-field cosmology.
Previously, I was a Schwarzschild-Fellow at AIP since 2018, a Hubble Fellow at the University of California, Irvine (2016-2018), and a postdoc at Case Western Reserve University (2013-2016). I got my PhD from the University of Bonn in 2013. My research has been supported with a Klaus-Tschira Boost Fund, and I am a Fellow of the German Scholars Organization e.V. Leadership Academy (2016-2017) and of the Leibniz Leadership Academy (2021-2022).
