The two-folded acquisition mode and the new guiding mode on spilled-over light worked unattended for the entire night.

New features had to be added to the robotic control to allow operation of the SES on Stella-2. Acquisition is first done coarsely with an auxiliary telescope mounted piggy-back on the main telescope. This telescope has a large field of view and suffices to bring the star within the reach of the video guider. The video guider (Unibrain 520b) has a fast-readout progressive scan solid-state chip with a electric shutter. First the star is again centered, then a focus sequence is started, finally guiding commences.
